Broward County Transit Adds Community Meeting in Sunrise

Broward County Transit (BCT) has added a community meeting in the city of Sunrise in advance of a public hearing scheduled by the Broward County Commission on proposed service reductions, service eliminations and bus fare increases that would become effective in October 2010.

The community meeting will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, at the Sunrise Senior Center, 10650 W. Oakland Park Boulevard, Sunrise.

The community meeting will provide bus passengers an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed service changes.

The public hearing is proposed to be held by the Broward County Commission at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14, at the Broward County Governmental Center, Commission Chambers, 115 S. Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale.
